Better economic conditions would help curb accidents in the province – Premier
On Tuesday morning, Mabuyane said the accident was, instead, a reminder that economic opportunities needed to be created in the province so that its citizens were not forced to look for work in other provinces.
“In this case, the road infrastructure cannot be blamed. It’s a solid infrastructure. It occurred on the national road.”Mabuyane explained that Kei Cuttings, where the accident happened, was a high-accident zone and expected that many drivers by now should at least know that they need to be cautious when they approach it, near the Kei Bridge. He called on drivers to take responsibility and drive with care on the roads.
We really want to extend our heartfelt deepest condolences to all families that are affected by that bus accidentMabuyane said the government was offering emotional, psychological, and spiritual support through the departments of transport, health and social development. “We really want to extend our heartfelt deepest condolences to all families that are affected by that bus accident.”
