Most of bowl season has come to an end and the national championship game participants have been decided, but we aren’t done just yet. There are four games today, starting with the ReliaQuest Bowl in Tampa Bay. This game features the Illinois Fighting Illini against the No. 22 Mississippi State Bulldogs, who come in with new head coach Zach Arnett after the passing of Mike Leach.The next game up is the Cotton Bowl, which has the bluest of blue bloods in the No. 10 USC Trojans against upstart No. 16 Tulane.
The third bowl of the day is the Cheez-It Citrus Bowl in Orlando with No. 17 LSU Tigers facing the Purdue Boilermakers. LSU comes in after losing the SEC Championship Game, which is similar to Purdue, which lost the Big Ten Championship Game. Monday’s action ends with the Rose Bowl. This edition of the bowl features No. 8 Utah vs. No. 11 Penn State. The Utes are favored by 2.5 points in most sportsbooks after winning the Pac-12 in a second consecutive season. Penn State enters after a 10-2 regular season.
