In a letter to NBCUniversal, RHONY star Bethenny Frankel's attorneys demanded that the TV network grant dissolution of nondisclosure agreements "that violate California law." The letter, obtained by TMZ, shows Frankel's notorious lawyer Bryan Freedman implying the network ignored their initial demand to do so. Frankel's attorneys told the mega company they could "lead by example or be forced into compliance.
Over 80 Reality TV Stars In Talks To Join Bethenny Frankel’s Fight In addition to her impressive counsel lineup and backing from SAG-AFTRA, Frankel has acquired a considerable number of reality TV stars interested in supporting her action. A Page Six insider informed the outlet of "at least 80 people," both male and female reality TV stars, who have contacted Frankel and her crew to join the force. "It's going to be a massive thing," they added.
In simple terms, the California law cited by Frankel's attorneys makes it so that companies cannot require their employees to refrain from discussing illegal incidents or conditions they've witnessed while at work. The reality TV star's team is arguing that because she and other NBCUniversal stars of unscripted series are unable to disclose certain acts they recall being unlawful, they have ultimately broken that law with their required NDAs.
