The Wildcats first rode the wave of theirto close out the month of May, but next came a gut-check all too familiar, and not for the same joyous reasons.
WPIAL runner-up Bethel Park arrived at Memorial Park to clash with Mechanicsburg, the stage set for a rematch of last year’s 8-2, 10-inning marathon that concluded in favor of the Black Hawks at the very same venue. This time, it was more of a sprint.Black Hawks are back in the PIAA 5A quarterfinals where District 12 champ Bonner Prendie awaits, as they pursue their third state title in four years.
