Plans have been approved for luxury apartments to replace a former southside care home in the Queens Park area, with Glasgow City Council officials agreeing to the build of 18 apartments, under a proposal by Regina Developments.

Glasgow City Council has approved plans for luxury apartments to replace a former care home in the southside of the city.

The former care home had more than 50 bedrooms and closed in 2023 however, the building suffered fire damage several years ago. Despite this, following an assessment from a structural engineer , it was decided that it would be more economically and commercially viable to work with the existing structure and bring it up to modern standards while aesthetically altering the building to enhance the local area.
