The 12th state election, expected to be soon, will likely see head-on fights.
A Sarawak party leader said today that Bersatu and PAS have given assurance that the two parties will not contest the 12th state election, which can be held any time from now, but will support the ruling Gabungan Parti Sarawak coalition.
Parti Rakyat Sarawak president James Masing said the assurance was given by Bersatu president and acting chairperson Muhyiddin Yassin as well as PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang during a two-hour meeting of Perikatan Nasional party leaders with the GPS alliance in Putrajaya yesterday.
