Bersatu awaits confirmation of its state chapter’s status in GRS, says Hamzah

Bersatu secretary-general Hamzah Zainudin says his party is still waiting for confirmation from the Registrar of Societies on the status of Sabah Bersatu in Gabungan Rakyat Sabah. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, January 8, 2023.

He said this followed former Sabah Bersatu chief Hajiji Noor’s decision, along with fellow assemblymen, to quit the party in December. In December last year, Hajiji, who is also GRS’s chairman, announced that he was quitting Sabah Bersatu after taking into consideration the current political situation in the country.
