Tonight’s debate comes as the candidates have begun to go after one another more directly, including Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders and Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who until now have been largely united against theirmore-centrist rivals.
Because it was only those two in the meeting, right now it’s each of their accounts against the other. We’ll be watching for how they address it on stage tonight. Less than two hours before the debate kickoff Briahna Joy Gray, a spokeswoman for the Sanders Campaign,: “Moderators & pundits aren't going to want to talk about Joe Biden tonight, but he's the biggest threat to progressive politics.”
