The Batur is set to preview an all-new design language for Bentley's future models -
is gearing up for a future of all-electric luxury, but before the production models start coming out of the British factory from 2025, Bentley’s giving us a preview of what this new generation of electric Bentleys will look like with its Mulliner Batur. Due to be revealed at this year’s Monterey Car Week, the Batur is the latest Mulliner coach build model, but this one is much more than just another one-off.
The Batur is the second model to come from Bentley’s revitalised Mulliner coach build section, joining the open-topthat was revealed last year. The Batur, however, hasn’t been derived from models of the past, but will instead inform models of the future as Bentley gets closer to its first all-electric production model.
Bentley’s been coy about the specifics of its journey towards electrification, but this relative silence isn’t derived from a lack of activity, rather the inner workings of the largerWe don’t yet know what form the Batur will take, aside from the fact it’ll be a grand tourer, as is most of Bentley’s current range. So far, the only visual takeaway is a new stylised mesh grille that will be seen on the car’s nose.
We’ll get to see the Batur in full on Sunday August 21, where it’ll line up alongside the world’s most expensive and glamorous cars both old and new, when it stars at Monterey Car Week.
