Benicio Del Toro has been added to the cast of Christopher Nolan's upcoming epic film 'The Odyssey'. Details about his role are currently under wraps, but the film boasts a star-studded lineup including Robert Pattinson, Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Lupita Nyong'o, and Zendaya. 'The Odyssey' is set to be a mythic action epic shot using brand new IMAX film technology.
Currently, it’s unclear what Leguizamo’s role in the film will be, as most of the project is draped in mystery at the moment. Leguizamo has a prolific career, including the 1993 Super Mario Bros. live-action movie, Carlito’s Way, Romeo + Juliet, The Pest, Moulin Rouge!, Empire, John Wick, The Menu, and voicing Sid the Sloth in the Ice Age franchise.Early reports suggest that Pattinson, Damon, Holland, and Hathaway will make up “the core leads” of the movie.
The Odyssey is one of two ancient Greek epic poems attributed to Homer, a Greek poet who is also credited as the author of the Iliad and who is often seen as one of the most influential and important authors in human history. The Odyssey follows the story of the Greek hero Odysseus, king of Ithaca, as he journeys home after the Trojan War.
