Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins has reportedly requested the team trade him.

Higgins originally was a second-round draft pick of the Bengals in 2020 and his initial four-year rookie contract expired after the 2023 season. He has played in 53 career regular-season games for Cincinnati, and has 257 receptions for 3684 yards and 24 TDs. He recorded over 1000 receiving yards in 2021 and ’22, becoming one of five players in team history to reach that mark multiple times in his first three seasons.
He also has played in seven postseason contests for the Bengals, and ranks second in team history both in postseason receptions and postseason receiving yards . Higgins missed five games this past season and part of another due to injuries, and his performance was inconsistent when he did play. He showed how special he can still be with his performance in the Dec.16 games against the Minnesota Vikings. Higgins hauled in two fourth quarter touchdown passes as the Bengals rallied from a 17-3 deficit to an eventual 27-24 win in overtime. The second of those TD catches came when Higgins outjumped a Vikings defender and then stretched the ball over the pylon to complete a 21-yard reception to tie the score at 24-24 with 39 seconds left in regulation.Higgins averaged a career-worst 3.
