Daniel Jones has been awful in primetime.
So could Giants quarterback Daniel Jones — whose team is 2-3 — perhaps get a rare primetime win Sunday night at home against the Bengals? The Bengals’ defense sure appears ripe for a beating. Coming out of 41-38 home overtime loss Sunday to the Ravens, the Bengals are now 28th in Pro Football Focus’ defensive ratings. They allowed 520 yards in that loss.
Jones is coming off an efficient showing the 29-20 stunner of an upset in Seattle. He threw for two touchdowns and had a season-high 109.6 quarterback rating. Jones is now 24-39-1 in the regular season in his career — including 23-26-1 in non-primetime games. None of that history matters now, of course. So Jones’ primetime struggles won’t be a factor Sunday night against the Bengals.
