CINCINNATI - Here are five storylines of note in Sunday's Bengals game against the New England Patriots , which will kick off at 1 p.m. in Paycor Stadium, and you can watch on Local 12:Joe Mixon carried the load for the most part in the Bengals backfield ever since Zac Taylor was hired as head coach in 2019, but that changes this season after Mixon was traded to the Houston Texans.
"Zack Moss as an all-around player. He can run any scheme. He has tremendous lateral quickness. He’s a difficult tackle," said Bengals offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher. "You’ll see Zack Moss’ value more that live games are here than you’ve ever seen to this point. He has great contact balance, vision. He’s able to gain tough yards, tight crease yards. Chase Brown is building himself into an all-around player. Currently, he’s a very explosive football player.
Despite that, defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo is confident the run defense will improve this season. "He helps everybody," Anarumo said of Bell. "He certainly helps the linebackers just feeling comfortable with what's going on behind them. We know what he does in the locker room. That locker room communication he takes that and he continues it on to the field, because he's always talking football. I walk by at 7:30 in the morning, him, Germaine and Logan are in that corner and they're talking about something. It just continues out onto the field.
"I'm confident in the work that I've put in and I know that the ligament is strong at this point to be able to take those kinds of hits," said Burrow. "I'm not too worried about it.""Whenever you have an injury like that ... I feel like I'm healthy," said Burrow. "I feel like I'm physically strong and I'll be able to go out and do what I need to do.
