York's miss came after each team punted on their first series of overtime after the Bengals didn't punt in regulation.Denver forced the overtime on a 25-yard touchdown pass from rookie quarterback Bo Nix to Marvin Mims Jr. with eight seconds left that tied the score at 24-24. The win improved the Bengals record to 8-8 and has them still in the playoff race heading into the regular-season finale at Pittsburgh. Denver fell to 9-7 with the loss. The Bengals must win at Pittsburgh, have Denver lose to Kansas City and have both Miami and Indianapolis lose one of their final two games to earn a playoff berth.
Denver answered with a 12-play, 70-yard drive that ended with a six-yard touchdown pass from Nix to wide receiver Courtland Sutton that tied the score at 10-10 with 3:10 to play in the third quater. The Broncos rushed for 47 yards on eight carries on the drive.
