Arsenal defender Ben White has broken his silence with a brief social media post after unexpectedly leaving England’s World Cup camp.due to ‘personal reasons’ and missed the Gunners’ initial leaving date for their Dubai training camp ahead of club football resuming.3The 25-year-old hadn’t featured in any of England’s three World Cup group games as an unused substitute, and left the squad before missing knockout matches against Senegal and France.
Premier League table-toppers Arsenal have already won a friendly against Lyon 3-0, and will stage further warm-up clashes against AC Milan and Juventus before their league campaign resumes against West Ham on Boxing Day. The club had earlier posted the message, ‘We are with you, Ben’ following the defender’s departure from the England camp.
