In a clash between defending state champions, Central York came up with a decisive win over Imhotep Charter on Saturday.

Ben Rill powered Central York with a 19-point performance, letting his presence be felt at the rim with 7 first-quarter points for an 18-11 lead through the opening frame. Fellow big man Ben Natal poured on 18 points, the two combining for 37 on the night. RJ Smith led Imhotep Charter with 21 points, lighting up 3-of-4 shots from 3-point range. Carnell Henderson tacked on 16 points and Ian Smith provided 12.The big man’s 3-point play extends Central York’s lead, 69-51 over Imhotep in a clash of state champs.

Central York tipped the scale in its favor in the third quarter, though. A corner 3-pointer from Pinkney and a putback from Rill sandwiched around Imhotep turnovers allowed Central York to ride a double-digit lead. It only ballooned from there to 20 points, 64-44 by the end of the third quarter.
