Tzarina Mace-Ralph and Anthony Bird's conflict in the galley leads to Anthony's dismissal after he searches for another job and informs Tzarina of his intention to leave.

The new season of Below Deck Down Under saw its first crew member depart before the second charter even concluded. During the Monday, February 17 episode, Tzarina Mace-Ralph and Anthony Bird continued their clashes in the galley. Captain Jason Chambers attempted to mediate the situation, reminding Tzarina of her authority as the head chef. He urged her to manage the situation and stressed the importance of teamwork within a professional kitchen.

However, Tzarina found it difficult to establish a fresh start with Anthony, expressing her struggles in a confessional interview. She felt pressured to demonstrate her leadership capabilities to Captain Chambers early in the charter season. Meanwhile, Anthony perceived Tzarina's attempts at guidance as patronizing and felt he was overlooked despite his efforts to prepare for the next charter. He voiced his frustrations and even confided in a friend on the phone about his dissatisfaction with the working environment, noting his intention to seek a different job. \Adding to the tension, Anthony openly criticized Tzarina's cooking style in a confessional, comparing it to his more modern and flavorful approach. Tzarina grew increasingly frustrated as Anthony began to openly disregard her instructions. Anthony, in turn, claimed that Tzarina lacked effective management skills and that he didn't feel respected as a chef. He expressed his desire to leave due to the intolerable working conditions. Captain Chambers acknowledged the escalating conflict and advised Tzarina to make a decision regarding Anthony's position on the boat, suggesting that she move on if he wasn't proving to be a valuable asset. \Before Tzarina could make a final decision, Anthony received another job offer and informed her of his intention to leave after two more charters. Tzarina shared this information with Captain Chambers, who expressed his disapproval of Anthony's handling of the situation. He emphasized that Anthony had been disrespectful and had chosen to leave on his own terms despite being halfway through the season. Captain Chambers ultimately dismissed Anthony, urging him to pack his belongings and depart immediately. This early firing aligns with Captain Chambers's previous statement to Us Weekly, where he hinted at the possibility of crew members being let go for not meeting the required standards
