Australian Supercars veteran Mark Winterbottom is shellshocked and devastated after he was told by his team that he was not wanted for the 2025 season. Winterbottom, the 2015 champion, has revealed that his time at Team 18 will come to a close at the end this season and they will be going with another driver in 2025. Winterbottom, who has been with Team 18 since 2019, was stunned by the news and took to social media to issue a statement.

“I have given 110% and loved working with the team crew and all the sponsors, you are great people. “I truly value the support from my family, friends, sponsors and supporters, at a time when I need it most.” Winterbottom has had two podium finishes this year and last year claimed Team 18’s first ever victory in Darwin. He is currently thirteenth on the overall standings, three ahead of David Reynolds, the team’s 2024 recruit.
