In Booysen’s case, a cause of death has not yet been disclosed. While there is not presently a cure for progeria, Booysen was known for sharing uplifting social media videos about her condition.Booysen recently underwent cardiothoracic surgery in October, where doctors needed to insert grafts into her heart.
“Beandri is breathing on her own since this morning and doing very well. She walked a bit further than yesterday,” Bea on October 15. “Dr said her right lung is clear and there is only a little bit of fluids around the left lung. If all goes well, she will be transferred to a normal ward tomorrow. She is so strong and we are so proud.”
