A beloved Peruvian-style restaurant has announced the closure of all of its locations in Lancaster County.
Frisco's Chicken locations closed due to the "ever increasing cost of goods and a steep decline in sales," according to owner Francisco "Frisco" Gomez De La Torre. Frisco's Chicken—which had locations in Lititz, Mount Joy, and Lancaster city—officially closed on Sunday.

Doors were set to close Friday, but staff "refused to go home until the last chicken was sold," Gomez De La Torre wrote in a Facebook post.
That, coupled with an outpouring of support on social media following the announcement of the closure, are two things the owner said he never would have imagined. "It has also given me the hope and strength to keep working and find a way to keep the Frisco’s Dream alive," Gomez De La Torre wrote in an. "If you, or someone you know is someone we should be talking to about finding a way to reopen our doors, please reach out to us. No matter what the future looks like, I will be forever grateful for all of you and our Frisco’s Family."
