While we were all busy fretting about the return of low-rise jeans, Bella Hadid had the courage to take a stand for the humble mid-rise, which is the only correct rise of jeans. And no, I will not be elaborating further or taking any questions. Hadid was pictured in Los Angeles on August 27 wearing mid-rise, boot-cut jeans that are just short enough to show off the tops of her black boots.
It's the crochet collar detail and bell sleeves that make this blouse look like it would look at home in an old timey saloon. Hadid traded her favorite Coach bag for a YSL tote in a similar style for this outfit, and added sunglasses and a few silver rings to complete the ensemble. For as long as Y2K fashion has been making a comeback, those of us who were there the first time around have been dreading the return of ultra-low-rise flares.
