Probe into December funeral cortege lead to search, police say

The police have carried out a house search as part of an investigation into people ‘believed to be wearing’ clothing linked to the Provisional IRA.

A police spokesman said: “Detectives from the Terrorism Investigation Unit, assisted by local officers, conducted a search of a house in the Ardoyne area of north Belfast this morning, Friday 17 February. The search was carried out in relation to alleged offences contrary to Section 13 of the Terrorism Act 2000.
