'These young people have been completely terrorising us and everyone else who lives here..'
Families living in the New Lodge area say they are being "terrorised" by a large group of youths who have been setting fires and attacking and intimidating residents.
Mum-of-four Kerryann McKimm grew up in the area and says she spent eight years waiting to move back there but she is now desperate to leave. Rachel Cullen, another mum from the area, said that when she first moved to the New Lodge she thought it was a nice place to live, but recent months have made her life hell.
"They are only 12 or 13 years old, but they are running about the area like they are able to do whatever they want and nobody seems to be doing anything to stop them.A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police received a report of a fire in a stairwell at a block of flats in the Duncairn Parade area of North Belfast at around 7.10pm on Wednesday, July 20.
