Pengarah Kementerian Perdagangan Dalam Negeri Dan Hal Ehwal Pengguna Sabah, Georgie Abas berkata, Pegawai Pemantau Harga seluruh negeri melaporkan tidak berlaku sebarang pembelian panik sepanjang pemeriksaan membabitkan 31 premis pasar basah, 13 buah pasar raya besar, 48 pasar raya dan 58 kedai runcit serta pasar mini yang dilaksanakan sejak semalam.
"Pemeriksaan ini dibuat berikutan berita pembelian panik barangan keperluan isi rumah, baru-baru ini disebabkan wabak Covid-19 yang melanda negara pada ketika ini,” katanya selepas pemantauan di pasar raya Bataras Kolombong di sini, hari ini.
