Republicans need to stop dividing the Nation and start working to heal it.
As a Republican that Ronald Reagan called a “compassionate conservative,” I feel that if we want to “Make America Great Again,” we need to get back to the solid Christian principals found in the Gospels.
When Jesus walked among us, He sat and ate with the tax collectors and sinners. The Pharisees rebuked Him for that. He told us to “do to others as you would have them do to you”. He also said to “love your neighbor as yourself”. His example of who our neighbor is, was the Parable of the Good Samaritan. Paul took the idea of “neighbor” one step further when he said, “There is no longer Jew or Greek, slave or free, male or female; for all of you are one in Christ Jesus.
Jesus also went on to say that we are to: feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, welcome the stranger, clothe the naked, care for the sick, and visit the prisoner.
