A little gold here and there won't hurt.
Summary SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT Making money in Baldur's Gate 3 can be a challenge, but becoming a thief is the perfect way to avoid having to scrounge up gold from the unlikeliest of places. The expansive roleplaying game from Larian Studios recreates the experience of a Dungeons & Dragons campaign, and adventuring in Baldur's Gate 3 isn't any cheaper than at the tabletop.
Baldur's Gate 3 offers two systems for exchanging goods and coin, designated as the Trade and Barter options. Trading allows for direct exchanges, where selecting a merchant's item will immediately acquire it and hand over the gold in its place, while bartering makes it possible to offer up items from a character's inventory in an attempt to strike a deal.
Playing A Rogue Isn't Necessary To Steal In Baldur's Gate 3 Using a rogue is the classic way to build a thief character in DnD, but any choice of custom character in Baldur's Gate 3 won't put an end to pickpocketing possibilities. The ability to control any party member means its possible to switch to Astarion or another character injected with good Sleight of Hand stats for an attempt at theft.
Although being a thief in Baldur's Gate 3 might not always be the right ethical choice, it's certainly easier than making money by any more legitimate method. After all, there are bigger things at stake, particularly when a party full of unreliable eccentrics has mind flayer parasite squirming around in their heads.
