Denzel Washington sits on a porch swing and thinks in 'The Equalizer'
For more than four decades, Denzel Washington has been entertaining audiences. While he had to pay his dues just like so many others in the industry, the actor quickly planted the right bricks to form a solid foundation.

And, that’s exactly the uphill battle we see him fighting against in Antoine Fuqua’s franchise-starting 2014 movie The Equalizer. Pitting Washington’s Robert McCall against the world, the film follows in the footsteps of the 1980s TV show of the same name, but gives it a modern spin. In it, audiences tag along with Washington’s ex-DIA officer and retired Marine as he snaps back into action to save a teenager who’s been kidnapped by the Russian mafia.
