Beer, bratwurst and oompah bands a guide to Oktoberfest celebrations around San Diego County

The seventh annual celebration from 1 to 7 p.m. Sept. 30 in East Village, 1301 Market St., will have lots of beers on tap, a traditional German Polka band, tribute bands and music with a Latin flair. There will be soft pretzels with beer mustard and Bavarian sausages, stein-holding contests, rowing competitions and other games along with a classic car show. Dress in your lederhosen or dirndl. Tickets are $7 to $60.

No advance tickets or reservations are required. Beer and food will be sold. VisitThe 10-day free event celebrates the art of craft beer with a variety of beer and foods from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sept. 22-Oct. 1 at Liberty Public Market, 2820 Historic Decatur Road. There will be Beerolympics and beer trivia and bingo games along with live music on the Main Patio Sundays. A Vinyl at the Market sale of records produced by Mo Records will be from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 1.
