LETTER TO THE EDITOR: 'My brother needed tests. The lab was backed up. The hospital was overwhelmed. He needed intensive care. But you got there first, so he had to wait on all of these.'
My brother is dying from the COVID-19 he never had. He’ll be dead by Valentine’s Day. To be clear, it’s a growth and blockage that is the final culprit, but COVID-19 has killed him. As soon as he could get the vaccine and booster, he did. He was careful to wash his hands, stay out of public places and wear a mask. He retired because it wasn’t worth the risk.
And yet, COVID-19 killed him. Not directly. You, the unvaccinated, did that by selfishly believing you “had the right.” He first started complaining of gut pain in July, but couldn’t get in to see his primary care physician because you were there, whining that “you didn’t feel good.” You did it to yourself, and you should have stayed home. My brother needed tests. The lab was backed up. The hospital was overwhelmed. He needed intensive care. But you got there first, so he had to wait on all of these.
