The duo were deemed the best value for money, with all of their guests paying the full amount.

The owners of a Nottinghamshire hotel have won Channel 4's Four in a Bed. Charlotte and Donna, who run Rooms at the Inn in Retford, beat their competitors to come top on last week's series, which ran from March 27 until March 31.

An overjoyed Donna said it had been a "rollercoaster" - and one of their competitors, who came second, said they lost to some "worthy competition". On Tuesday's episode, the hosts impressed their guests early on with their "bright, fresh and beautiful" rooms, and a fellow hotelier praised the "nice touch" of a mini-fridge in guests' rooms.

Charlotte said that while it was a shame, she would take "that on the chin" and accepted the criticism. However, they were less than thrilled with Rob scoring them a four out of 10, which Charlotte branded "unjustified" and "ridiculous" considering they provided earbuds. "It was only ever an issue in three out of our 10 rooms. We tried several ways to get it sorted it wasn't a quick easy process. It did it more in the warmer months hence our guests unfortunately hearing it but we are happy to say it's no more."
