A glorious June day unfolds in SoCal, the kind that makes people want to live here traffic or not.

With June gloom fading into the past, it’s perfect timing to get outdoors and enjoy the long Fourth of July weekend. According to weather forecasts, the Los Angeles area will enjoy cool and slightly cloudy nights, and gorgeous, warm — but not blistering — days in the mid-70s or so. Time to take care of that project in the garage, spruce up your garden, take the dog on a long walk, head to the beach or have friends over for a potluck dinner.

LAX officials anticipate that July will be LAX’s busiest month of the summer travel season, and you’ll find yourself among a horde of 3 million passengers over the Fourth of July travel period.

Southern Californians are so ready to get up and go after the pandemic locked so many people down, the Automobile Club of Southern California predicts that a near-record 3.4 million Southern Californians will travel during the Fourth of July holiday period, just 1% below an all-time high set in 2019.
