The castle features a beer garden, scenic coastal views and centuries of history
Located on the northern end of the Wirral Peninsula is a picturesque beach covered in gold, soft sand. Leasowe Bay sits nestled into low-lying dunes and is a picturesque getaway with phenomenal views. Leasowe Castle dates back to 1593 when it was built for Ferdinando Stanley, 5th Earl of Derby, as an observation platform for the Wallasey races. When it was owned by the Cust family in 1815, the first St. Bernard dog brought to England lived inside the castle's walls.
Some have been modernised while others sport four-poster beds and the classic castle aesthetic if you prefer. Luckily, most of the rooms boast gorgeous sea views. Elsewhere in the castle is Brasserie 1593 which is open to the public for morning and evening meals. The hotel currently has a reception room called 'The Star Chamber' which is often used for relaxation, afternoon tea and event hire.
