Apple -owned Beats recently expanded into India with a range of products – the $80 Beats Solo Buds being one of them. Priced at INR 6,900 in India, these earbuds face tough competition from the likes of OnePlus and Nothing. That said, their appeal doesn’t lie in the feature set but in their size. These are the most compact, good-sounding earbuds you can buy right now.

The no-battery case design means it won’t charge your earbuds unless it’s connected to a power source with both buds inside. There’s a learning curve coming from previous earbuds because muscle memory expects them to be fully charged when you take them out out the case the second time – but they aren’t.Despite this, the earbuds themselves are small but mighty. They can last up to 18 hours on a single charge, which is astonishing given their size.

The bass is thumpy enough to be felt, with good depth in music that you’d expect from earbuds costing $120+. While they lack the richness of the Studio Buds Plus, these still sound fantastic for the price. The vocal clarity and treble performance are top-notch, too. The highs aren’t too bright, but there’s enough sparkle to make music more lively.Although there’s no ANC, if you get a tight seal, these earbuds do a decent job of blocking out ambient noise in the mid-frequencies.
