Beatport Launches a New Genre: See Which Sounds & Artists Are Included

A large and very popular faction of the dance music community is getting the nod of approval from beatport.

Beatport typically launches new genres two to three times per year, with this debut coming after the June launch of the Organic House genre.

"As electronic sounds and instrumentation have moved to the foreground of popular music, elements of more traditional pop music have infiltrated electronic music," the statement continues."Beatport recognizes that these massive, global hitmakers move seamlessly from the club, to the radio, to the festival stage, and back again with their fusion of organic instruments, pop-vocal sensibilities, and pounding bass lines, capturing fans across the spectrum.
