An insightful, uplifting film, showcasing the talent and impishness of Liverpool's breakthrough 4 musicians. The year was an important one in America's history. A negative review by Adam McKay won't diminish the delightful appeal of this documentary. So glad the footage was saved and restored. If Mr. McKay were aware of all the Beatles cover bands touring to sold out fans and the endless guitar classes teaching their catalog to boomers, their children, and grandchildren he might lighten up a bit. What's wrong with remembering how we felt at 13? I was 7 when I watched"The Ed Sullivan" show at my grandparent's home on a black and white TV. My mother, a classically trained musician and composer enjoyed their songs and style just as much as the young people. Everyone in the entire household from ages 60's through 6 reveled in that night.It's a very good Documentary. The footage is fantastic. Fun and new. The Beatles are very very relevant still! But it is not the definitive 1964 Documentary. Far from it. To do it right you need to have the full performances and less 'talking heads' on it. Beatles First was superior. In fact when you combine this Documentary with the Ed Sullivan Shows you get a better picture. But it still scores a 10.
