If your resolution of cooking at home this year is looking more and more like a lofty goal, we have some easy recipes that will help you get back on track. This week, Elena Besser stopped by TODAY to teach us how to make those dishes you often get delivered — right from your very own kitchen. There is nothing like chicken shawarma shaved right off the rotisserie, but Besser found a way to make it work in the oven.
The chicken is served with tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, lettuce, and a feta-garlic yogurt sauce. Alternatively, mix into lettuce and serve with pita chips as a salad. This copycat barbecue chicken pizza is a homemade version of the classic mall dish. Store-bought pizza dough gets stretched and cooked in a cast iron, topped with your favorite barbecue sauce and baked with juicy pieces of chicken, tons of cheese and onions.
