Two shark attacks happened just over two hours apart on Florida's Gulf Coast
WALTON COUNTY , Fla. - Beaches in Walton County , Florida have reopened Saturday after three people were injured in two separate shark attack s within 90 minutes, according to the sheriff’s office.
While on patrol Saturday morning, the sheriff’s office says that they spotted a 14-foot hammerhead shark east of South County Highway in Santa Rosa Beach. However, they say sightings like these are not uncommon. Both incidents happened near each other between Destin and Panama City Beach. One happened near Hwy 30A and a second in an inlet beach.
