The Reckoning will see comedian and actor Steve Coogan take on the role of Savile
BBC is set to air a harrowing drama focusing on one of the UK's most prolific sexual predators, Jimmy Savile. Comedian and actor Steve Coogan is set to take on the lead role - a decision he didn't take "lightly."
The Reckoning has vowed to "explore the appalling impact of his crimes and the difficulties faced by those who tried to raise the alarm". It also says it will emphasise Savile’s "unprecedented political access" and how it allowed him to "hide in plain sight and silence the victims of his crimes." When is The Reckoning on? The Reckoning will air on BBC One at 9pm on Monday and Tuesday night for two weeks starting tonight, October 9. All episodes will be on BBC iPlayer from Monday, October 9.
