Comedian and actor Eddie Kadi set to take to the dancefloor this year on Strictly Come Dancing, where he'll compete alongside the likes of Zara McDermott and Bobby Brazier
Recognised as one of the most globally celebrated stand up comedians, British-Congolese star Eddie, 40, is hoping to impress the judges in the coming weeks with his fancy footwork and expert showmanship.
Speaking about his participation in the show, Eddie said: “WOW. Anyone who knows me, understands that music and dance is so important and central to who I am." He then continued:"I’m so unbelievably proud and honoured that Strictly and the BBC have asked me to join the 2023 Team. I promise you, I’m going to give it everything I’ve got. This is going to be a VIBE."
The star-studded show returns to BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Saturday, September 16 at 6.35pm. The launch show will reveal the Strictly Come Dancing 2023 couples for the series.Kadi was the first British black comedian to headline the O2 Arena in London.He has also graced the main stage as host for the Afro Nation Festivals across the globe.
