BBC racing commentator John Hunt said that every message of support 'feels like a hug' after his wife Carol and daughters Hannah and Louise were killed in a crossbow attack

John Hunt has spoken out about the overwhelming support he's received following the tragic murder of his wife and two daughters in a crossbow attack. Mark Chapman, who is a close friend of the BBC racing commentator, shared that every supportive message Hunt receives "feels like a hug". He also expressed that Hunt and his surviving daughter Amy are "very thankful that people are thinking about them and they are very conscious that they want everyone to know they will be OK.

John and daughter Amy released a statement on Saturday 13 July. They said: "The devastation that we are experiencing cannot be put into words. We would like to thank people for their kind messages and for the support we have received in recent days. These have provided great comfort to us for which we are very grateful.
