Presenter Lauren Laverne says she has been diagnosed with cancer. The 46-year-old BBC host, known for her role on Radio 4's Desert Island Discs, took to Instagram to inform her followers about her health situation.
"I'm in hospital at the moment and wanted to take this moment to say thank you: Firstly to the medical teams who have got me this far with incredible skill and kindness. To my family and friends who have been absolutely extraordinary every step of the way - I am so very grateful and love you so much.
Lauren Laverne, a prominent figure in British broadcasting, has garnered a reputation as a radio DJ, television host, author, and former musician. Noteworthy is her role at BBC Radio 6 Music, where she's been entertaining listeners on the morning show since 2019.
