David Aaronovitch, who hosts “The Briefing Room” on BBC Radio 4, wrote in a social media post following the Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity that Biden should “have Trump murdered.” “The now deleted post stated, ‘If I were Biden, I’d hurry up and have Trump murdered,’” the community note read. “This statement, not satire, can be deemed as an incitement to commit murder in accordance with both the English and US laws.”wrote
“There’s now a far right pile on suggesting that my tweet about the Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity is an incitement to violence when it’s plainly a satire,” the radio host. “So I’m deleting it. If nothing else though it’s given me a map of some the daftest people on this site.
