BBC Breakfast viewers have been left furious over the coverage of the Princess of Wales' cancer diagnosis, after she requested 'space and privacy' following the announcement.

BBC Breakfast fans have slammed the extensive coverage of Kate Middleton's cancer diagnosis on the show after the Princess of Wales asked for privacy following her shock announcement.

On Saturday morning, BBC Breakfast had people reporting from outside Windsor Castle with viewers slamming the show online for going against the princess' privacy wishes, the Mirror reports. A third echoed the sentiment, posting on X: "Doing 13 minutes on Kate's Cancer on @bbcbreakfast is not "extending privacy" to the Princess of Wales' family. @newswatchbbc."

She continued: "My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.
