LISBON – Frenchman Kingsley Coman scored the only goal against his former club as Bayern Munich beat Paris St Germain in Sunday’s Uefa Champions League final in Lisbon.
The Germans bossed the possession and were the better side on the day, and were the deserved winners on the night.Hansi Flick’s men finished the season with their 21st win in a row to lift the club’s sixth European crown. While Keylor Navas was the busier goalkeeper in the game, Bayern’s Manuel Neuer had a quieter game and will be pleased with the result.
Paris St Germain’s failure to win the competition means that Olympique de Marseille remain the only French team to win the competition. Bayern will begin next season’s campaign with a Uefa Super Cup clash against Seville, the winners of the Europa League.
