The goalkeeper, who has been nominated for the NWSL Save of the Week in each of the past four weeks, knocked down Aissata Traore in the box and then dove the wrong way on the ensuing penalty kick. Bay outshot Boston 19-8 in the first-ever meeting between the two clubs, including a 9-2 edge in shots on goal.
The expansion side had started slowly, losing its first five games and scoring just one goal, but it is now unbeaten in its last five. Bay FC has three more games before the World Cup break – at Portland on Wednesday, home against Chicago on May 24, and at Orlando on May 29.
