Bay Area artist Diego Cisternas, who makes music under the name Brain Dead Symphony. It’s called “Just Let Me Be,” a glorious synthpop/electronica single that somehow manages to feel both retro and futuristic at the same time. It’s the type of alt-dance tune that should appeal equally to old-school post-punk/new wave fans as well as young ones, who have never even listened to New Order.
