Concord police officers responded to a call at a North Concord home Wednesday and found a 66-year-old man deceased with apparent stab wounds, the Concord Police Department announced. The man was allegedly killed by his roommate. Officers responded to the call around 4 p.m. Wednesday in a neighborhood near Port Chicago Highway, the Concord Police Department wrote in a Facebook post. After discovering the deceased, officers arrested his roommate.
It appeared as though the two men had an argument that led to the stabbing, according to police. The suspect, 38-year-old Nicholas Carson, was taken into custody and is being held at the Contra Costa County Jail. The investigation is ongoing, and there is no further information available about the incident, police said. Anyone with information on the case is asked to contact Detective James Nielsen at 925-603-5817.
