Lights Up Festival: The festival is back with a staged reading of two new scripts, followed by an audience talkback in which you help the playwrights shape their scripts. The first play reading begins at 2 p.m., and the second at 5:30 p.m. This year’s plays are “Breadcrumbs, Honey & Bone” by Lauren Doyle, directed by Erin Southard and “The Great Gatsby” from the novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald, adapted by Kit Wilder and directed by Mark Anderson Phillips.

Jamario McClain: A rising stand-up comedian from Los Angeles, McClain is known for his sharp wit and engaging storytelling and has a sense of humor that goes beyond various cultures and backgrounds. Time Travelers Summer Camp: If you have kids ages 8 to 12, then send them to this two-week long summer camp by History San José at which they’ll get hands-on experiences to explore the past. Life in Los Gatos Art Camp: Send your young artist age 8 to 12 to this camp by the New Museum Los Gatos to create their masterpieces and capture their view on the history of Los Gatos.
