A new Batwoman set photo shows Sophie Moore visiting the grave of Arrow's Laurel Lance.
One of the latest Batwoman set photos, posted by starring cast member, Meagan Tandy, showcases her character, Sophie Moore, seemingly standing next to the grave of Arrow's Laurel Lance. The series premiered in October 2019 as a spin-off show from the crossover"Elseworlds," featuring Green Arrow, The Flash, and Supergirl, all originating from their own respective shows in the shared universe.
Batwoman currently follows the story of Wilder as she embarks on taking up the mantle of scarlet vigilante after Kate Kane left Gotham to search for her cousin, Bruce Wayne. Joining Leslie and Tandy within the cast of the series includes the likes of Rachel Skarsten as Alice, Camrus Johnson as Luke Fox, Nicole Kang as Mary Hamilton, and Victoria Cartagena as Renee Montoya.
As previously mentioned, Laurel Lance was a major character during the first four seasons of The CW's Arrow, played by Katie Cassidy, who eventually went on to become the Black Canary, just as her comic book counterpart, before being suddenly killed off during Arrow's fourth season.
Laurel's grave appearing in an episode of Batwoman poses many questions for viewers, such as why Sophie would be in Star City in the first place, and how the appearance of Laurel's grave will tie into the events of the episode. Furthermore, many fans have been noticed questioning if this could be a hint at Earth-1 Laurel's possible return in some capacity, opening the door for Cassidy's return in the future, after crisis.
