operate individual foundations which collect donations as separately operated charity entities for the divisions.“We didn’t want to start a huge foundation project we didn’t have person designated to run that,” Fisher said. “But we want to be able to generate some dollars.”

Any funds coming from this new avenue will be used for extra programs and special projects, said Fisher. This means supplementing new and existing programs and, in some cases, expanding them to scale across the division.

“We had to think of a different way of doing it, so they’ve been preparing meals here in the city and supplying them to that rural school.”
